Each school year, we select 8 people (16 years and older) to serve as apprentices during our open studio hours. This volunteer experience was created as a professional learning opportunity for anyone who has an interest in working with youth. Throughout the year we focus on our four core practices: Youth-Centered Approaches, Expressive Arts, Trauma-Informed Care, and Restorative Practices so apprentices can gain the skills to successfully engage youth at our space and in their communities!
Teaching Artists are invited to propose classes for both youth and adults through the heART School, our new registration-based program at the studio. Opportunities are available to teach people as young as 3rd grade through senior citizens! Class proposals are reviewed and selected by our Youth Advisory Board.
heARTS was built with the support of volunteers and we continue to rely on the impact of caring community members who believe in our mission and want to contribute time and energy to its success. Learn more about our current opportunities and sign-up for updates as new opportunities arise!
