Courageous heARTS - Make art. Together.

No time for business as usual.

Following the murder of George Floyd, and with the continued unrest in our city and nation, we have decided to take a different approach to our summer offerings. We stand in solidarity with the movement and want to align our work with broader efforts to seek justice for black lives and all other marginalized communities.

We believe that art is a powerful tool for processing and expressing our deepest hurts and hopes. As the urgency of the moment passes, we want to play an active role in ensuring conversations about
social justice, anti-racism, and community building keep happening.

To that end, we are restructuring our summer schedule to focus on Open Studio time that will include the option for both self-directed art-making and artist-led activities. By shifting to a less formal structure, and adding new content such as our focus on Artful Activism, we hope to engage participants as active change-makers in our community.
